The Hunger Games- official trailer

I came across this on my Twitter feed today- the first full official trailer for The Hunger Games.

I’ve been meaning to read these books since way before a film was announced, but I just never got around to it. Even now, I have a pile of books on my bedside locker to read, a load on my Kindle, and I’m stupidly approaching authors to review their books for MyVampFiction (if you’re interested in having your book reviewed, by-the-by, check out this page).

However, after seeing the trailer, I immediately downloaded the first book in the trilogy. I can’t imagine how I could not like it when so many of my friends who have similar taste to me have absolutely loved it. I got it out of the library a while ago and read the first chapter, but life got in the way and I never got any further than that.

I’m very excited though, to finally be reading it, having wanted to for ages (the advantages of a Kindle!) Keep an eye on GoodReads (feel free to add me) and here for progress and reviews!

  1. Hello,
I just found your blog through Tag surfing and I found this trailer post about Hunger Games and I’ve to say ‘thank you’ because I haven’t seen it before!! Great, it looks great.
I’m soooo curious about the movie! I really loved the first HG book so hope the best for the movie :)
    greetings

  2. so, are you going to read the books before or watch the movie at first?

Oh I’m definitely going to read the books first. I know the story, I can’t wait until March to find out more about it! Just gotta finish A Dance With Dragons and then I’m diving straight into the Hunger Games :)

      • aaah, great to hear that. It’s really a good book, especially the first book, though I also like the second one, but the first is still the best. :)
I’m reading ‘Nightshade #1′ at the moment by Andrea Cremer and I really love that book as well. Do you know it?
Mh, a dance with dragons – haven’t heard about it? Fantasy I guess :D

Yeah, I dunno if you heard of the TV show Game of Thrones, but that’s based on the book A Game Of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. A Dance with Dragons is in the same series, it’s the most recent book. I’m not usually a fan of epic fantasy, but I really can’t stop reading these books, I’m thoroughly obsessed!

The name Nightshade sounds familiar, but I don’t think I’ve heard much about it!

    • Hy again,
Actually I’ve heard a little about Games of Thrones but so far I haven’t read anyhting in this series or I didn’t know that there’s also a tv show about it. That’s great, maybe I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation :)
Nightshade is about werwolves, though I’m usually don’t like werwolves-books, this one is really great. And before I read Black Dagger or Wither by Lauren DeStefano…
